What we do

SCEM’s primary aim is to bring God’s glory in Scotland! In order to do this, we aim to enable churches of Scotland to host mission weeks. Most often, these occur in the summer months whilst the local schools are on holiday. Typically, this involves assisting churches to run children’s and youth clubs whilst in recent years, helping the local community in practical ways has become part of our mandate.

In order to do this we provide experienced leaders, a team of willing helpers and resources that the church requires in order to have their mission week. We aim to work in partnership with the local church members during these missions in order to see God’s glory fall.

We feel that hosting mission weeks in this way is a blessing to everyone involved. This is because the team members should have opportunity to grow in their faith in being used by God in ways that they never have been before.  Also, the church will be strengthened for having seen God work in their local community and having had external impetus.

This is all based on the words of Jesus in Matthew 28 verse 19 when He says, ‘Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.’ Our nation is Scotland and this is where we will make disciples for Him.
